Assignment 3

I have posted 20 blogs, most of which are about things to do in Forster and some are what we have covered in class. I have enjoyed blogging because it is individual and fun. On my blog i have experimented with fonts, colours, layouts and designs. I have customised this to what i feel is appropriate to me and looks attractive. I have added gadgets and widgets to enhance the page.

For my Flickr photo stream i have uploaded a total of 33 original photos. I have enjoyed doing this becasue it gives me an opportunity to show who i am as a person and express some of my emotions and feelings. It allows the viewer to gain a grasp on who i am, my interests and experiences I have organised these images into 3 sets which allow for easy viewing.

I have learnt alot of skills over the past semester in MPI104. Lots of these skills will be very helpful for my education degree and my own personal benefit. Matt has been a great teacher. I have personally enjoyed learning how to code a html website the most.

There are plenty of opportunites to go fishing in Forster, wether you like deep sea game fishing, beach fishing, rock fishing or finesse estuary fishing, Forster has it all.

Many people enjoy swimming in both the lake and ocean. And if the salt water isnt for you, there is even public swimming pools.

Assignment 2

I have enjoyed the process of learning to compose a basic website, for the website I chose to briefly explain some information about Forster NSW which is my hometown before Wagga. I described the location of Forster and some of its attractions which includes the beaches, lake, clubs and pubs, and golfing courses. The page includes a table, lots of links, images and text. This was slightly challenging for me because i have not done any work in html code before. I am proud of my work and happy to achieve what i have.

Thoughts

I have foiund this subject quite fun, i have learnt a lot of new things, i like it because it is a mad bludge and the stuff that we are doing is appropriate to us (not appropriate for our dgree) however still appropriate to us. Matt is a cool dude and a good lecturer which has also influenced my perspective on the subject.

Waterskiing

Waterskiing is another very big hobby in Forster, my family does not own a boat therefore we don't do it too often howveer im always more than happy to tag along with my mates, which is awesome fun.

Four-wheel-driving

This is a picture of one of my mates cars, on a typical 4wding trip. There are plenty of four-wheel-driving tracks around the area which are awesome fun.

Camping

This picture was taken at the end of our HSC exams when we were burning our books. This is a typical night where we would camp on the beach and quite often get very drunk at the same time.

Parties

Living a standard young lifestyle, you could only imagine that there is a certain element of getting drunk and partying, this is a small party at one of my friends houses where we are all drinking in a spa. good times.

Scuba Diving

I got my open water level scuba ticket when i was in year 10, i then progressed on to get my advanced ticket when i was in year 11. From this i began helping out my dive master for work cleaning boat hulls and helping instruct diving courses.

Surfing and Body boarding

Although I was never really any good at Surfing or body boarding, i really enjoyed having a go, especially on little waves with a long board. Surfing is a massive hobby for some people living in Forster, and is quite often a stop for professionals for leisure and competition.

Spearfishing

I also done a lot of spearfishing when I was younger, It is fun and you get a free feed of fish if your lucky. Quite often we would go out spearfishing in the afternoon and cook what we catch for dinner. Mostly small fish but occasionally decent size fish, lobsters and abalone.

Slalom Kayaking

This is a picture of me and my mate rob, we are slalom kayaking. We raced competitively all around Australia for a number of years. This particular photo is from a competition in Penrith NSW.
